Modern headlights can be expensive assemblies containing multiple serviceable components. Depending on the fault, repairing the damaged part may be more appropriate than replacing the entire headlight.
What can often be repaired
Depending on the headlight design, repair may be possible for lenses, housings, DRLs, internal wiring, electronic boards, modules, projectors and certain LED or Xenon-related faults.
When replacement may still be necessary
Severe structural damage, extensive internal damage or unavailable components can make full replacement the more practical option. The decision should be based on inspection rather than assumption.
Why diagnosis comes first
A warning message or failed light does not always identify the actual defective component. Proper diagnosis helps avoid replacing an expensive complete assembly when the fault may be isolated to one repairable component.
